Pakm Beach, Florida - There are rumors swirling down in sunny Palm Beach Florida that the Publix Super Markets chain is close to buying the lot east of the store at 265 Sunrise Ave. so it will have space for a new and larger store.
The neighboring parcel is currently used as a parking lot.
The Palm Beach store opened in 1971 and added a large addition on its north side in 1975.
As much as some locals do not want a larger Publix store because of being a chain store, it would be appreciated by many.
